Established in 2021, Nepal Eyes Multicultural Media Australia-run NepalEyes.com.au is a news-based online portal dedicated to the Nepali-speaking community in Australia. Its web portal www.nepaleyes.com.au covers issues related to the Nepali language and community.
Along with the growing population of Nepalis in Australia, there is also an increase of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese people here. This portal will thus be our online information bridge for Nepali language speaking communities who do not have access to information due to language constraint.
Nepali population is spread over all states and territories of Australia: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, and Capital Territory of Australia. Although we focus on the issues related to the people of Nepali origin living across these areas, we will also cover major issues around the world.
At the same time, we will continue to raise issues related to Australia’s culture, education, and immigration. Nepali students and Nepali immigrants in Australia are our primary audience, readers and listeners.
Live broadcasts on our website and social media have attracted viewers from Australia and beyond. We will build an information highway in Australia through Nepali language videos and podcasts.
To preserving Nepali art and culture in Australia through the media, our first priority will be to include all the news and information that the Nepali Australian community needs in Nepali language. For that purpose, we will continue to work by cooperating and coordinating with the Nepali community and governmental and non-governmental organizations in Australia. In addition, we will encourage the Nepali community by covering various activities of the community organizations. We will give priority to positive news from the community.
